The Dental care specialty at Ky Hoa Medical Center serves patients who need examinations, treatment, and prevention of oral health issues. Performed by specialized dentists in a standardized medical environment, our dental services are suitable for both Health Insurance (BHYT) patients and voluntary patients.

Who is it for

Dental services are suitable for adults and children with oral health issues that need examination and treatment, including toothaches, cavities, gingivitis, or those who want regular dental checks and tartar removal (scaling). Patients with Health Insurance registered at the Center can receive examinations within the covered scope of insurance.

Key Services

  • Examination and consultation on general oral health status.
  • Treatment of tooth decay, aesthetic fillings.
  • Treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis.
  • Regular tartar removal, teeth cleaning, and polishing.
  • Tooth extraction (baby teeth, regular permanent teeth).
  • Dental X-ray to support diagnosis.

Process

  1. Book an appointment: Contact the hotline or arrive directly to book a visit. Dental clinics usually require prior booking so the doctor can schedule suitable time.
  2. Reception and medical history check: Staff record your details, medical history, and any current medications (important because some medications affect dental treatment).
  3. Examination and diagnosis: The dentist conducts a comprehensive oral check, prescribes X-rays if needed, and advises on the treatment plan and estimated cost.
  4. Treatment and follow-ups: Perform treatment according to the plan. The dentist schedules follow-up visits or monitoring based on the specific condition of each patient.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to fast before a dental exam? No fasting is required before a regular dental exam. However, you should brush your teeth clean before coming so the doctor can observe your oral status more accurately.

At what age can children have dental checks at the Center? The Center provides dental checks for children aged 3 and above. You should take your child for their first check when their baby teeth are fully erupted (around 2–3 years old) to detect early issues and guide jaw development.

Does tartar removal (scaling) hurt, and how often should I get it? Regular tartar removal usually only causes a slight tickling or mild sensitivity, not significant pain. Adults should get scaling every 6 months to maintain gum health and prevent periodontitis.
