Acting on the plan and directives of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (Ủy ban nhân dân Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) on rolling out periodic health check-ups, disease screening and the creation of electronic health records for the entire population, the People's Committee of Hoa Hung Ward (UBND Phường Hòa Hưng) worked closely with Ky Hoa Medical Center to successfully host a fully FREE health screening day for local residents.
The initiative forms part of the healthcare digital transformation strategy, digitising records so that every citizen has an electronic health record on the VNeID app to support lifelong health monitoring and care.
✨ HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY'S SCREENING SITE:
- Tightly coordinated operations: Under the close direction of the Ward People's Committee, the screening ran in an orderly, well-organised manner. Residents aged 18 and above, older adults and informal workers — both permanent and temporary residents — were all received with care.
- Fast data synchronisation: Verification of the chip-based citizen ID card (CCCD) and the VNeID app (level-2 identity authentication) was carried out right at the reception desk, ensuring each resident's examination details were encoded accurately into the national system.
- Dedicated care: Doctors and nurses from Ky Hoa Medical Center worked at full capacity to check basic health indicators, screen for conditions early and offer residents practical medical advice.
🛡️ COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL WELFARE SUPPORT
Alongside the clinical examinations, the site also set up a dedicated counselling area to guide residents through enrolling in and renewing household health insurance (BHYT) and voluntary health insurance (BHYT), giving them the fullest possible support in accessing long-term social welfare policies.
