Periodic Health Checkup

Periodic health checkups for individuals and families, pre-employment health checks, driver’s license health checks and food-industry health checks — general clinical examination, basic laboratory tests and result consultation.

Periodic health checkups help detect underlying conditions early, before clear symptoms appear — the most effective form of proactive health care. At Ky Hoa Medical Center, periodic checkups are carried out by a team of experienced general practitioners, combining thorough clinical examination and laboratory tests to give a comprehensive picture of your health. Using this same standard process, the Center serves a range of checkup purposes: individual periodic health checks, pre-employment health checks, health checks for taking and obtaining a driver’s license, periodic health checks for food-industry workers, and annual periodic health checks for businesses.

Who it’s for

  • Individuals and families who want regular health checkups, especially those with a family history of chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease) or who work under stress with little physical activity. People aged 50 and above should have a checkup every 6 months.
  • People who need a pre-employment health certificate, completing their file as required by the employer.
  • People undergoing a health check to take, or to obtain or renew a driver’s license of the various classes required by regulations.
  • Workers in the food and catering industry who need periodic health checks under food-safety regulations.
  • Organizations and businesses that need annual periodic health checks for their workforce (see also our corporate health check service).

Key components

  • General clinical examination: blood pressure measurement, BMI, heart and lung auscultation, abdominal examination, overall assessment

  • Result consultation and health follow-up planning

Process

  1. Booking and preparation: Contact us to book by hotline or come in directly, clearly stating the purpose of the checkup (individual periodic, employment, driver’s license, food industry…) so the correct health-certificate form can be prepared. Fast for at least 6–8 hours before the checkup to ensure accurate blood test and ultrasound results.
  2. Reception and paperwork: Present your personal ID and fill in the initial health information form at the reception desk.
  3. Examination and testing: The doctor performs the clinical examination, the nurse draws blood for testing, and X-ray and ultrasound are carried out on schedule at the respective departments.
  4. Receiving results and consultation: The doctor compiles all results, explains the meaning of the indices, signs and certifies the health certificate (if applicable), and advises on follow-up or treatment if needed.

Frequently asked questions

What should I prepare before a periodic health checkup? Fast for at least 6–8 hours (plain water only). Bring your personal ID and any previous test results so the doctor can review your medical history. If the checkup is for employment, a driver’s license or food-industry requirements, bring the health-certificate form required by the relevant organization (if any) so it can be filled in correctly.

How long does a periodic health checkup take? Usually 2–3 hours, depending on the number of items and the wait for test results. You should arrange a morning appointment to allow enough time.

Are the checkup results kept on file? All results are stored in your file at the Center. You receive a full printed copy when you leave and can contact us to retrieve them later when needed.
