Ky Hoa Medical Center is a medical facility licensed to provide primary health insurance (BHYT) examination and treatment. Cardholders registered at the Center can come for examination and enjoy payment benefits under the regulations of Vietnam Social Security, with no additional cost beyond the co-payment portion at the card’s applicable rate.
Who it’s for
BHYT examination at the Center is for people holding a valid BHYT card who are registered for primary examination and treatment at Ky Hoa Medical Center. Those whose card is registered elsewhere can still be examined when they are on the correct referral pathway or hold a valid transfer letter under the regulations of the Social Security agency (BHXH).
Key components
- General examination and some specialist examinations according to the referral tier
- Ordering of tests, X-ray and ultrasound within BHYT coverage
- Prescribing medicines within the BHYT drug list
- Consultation and monitoring of chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes…) under the non-communicable disease management program
- Referral to a higher level when treatment exceeds the facility’s scope
Process
- Prepare documents: Bring your valid BHYT card and personal ID (citizen ID card or passport). For children under 6, also bring a birth certificate.
- Reception at the BHYT desk: Present your BHYT card so staff can verify your information and confirm your benefits before examination.
- Examination and paraclinical orders: The doctor examines you and orders tests, imaging or medicines within BHYT coverage.
- Payment and receiving your prescription: You only pay the co-payment portion (if any) at the prescribed rate; receive your prescription and a follow-up appointment if needed.
Frequently asked questions
My BHYT is registered elsewhere - can I be examined at Ky Hoa Medical Center? If your BHYT card is registered for primary examination at another facility, you can still be examined at the Center in certain regulated cases (correct referral pathway, emergency). Please contact the hotline 028.3868.1097 for specific advice on your situation.
Is there a long wait for a BHYT examination? Waiting time depends on the number of patients that day. To shorten your wait, arrive early in the morning or contact us in advance for guidance on less busy time slots.
Which services are not covered by BHYT? BHYT does not cover certain high-tech services, medicines outside the list, or on-request services. The doctor will inform you clearly before ordering so you can decide and pay for the portion outside the BHYT fund (if any).
Contact us by hotline, Zalo or email for guidance on timing and the documents to prepare.
