  • A small foreign body in the skin or mucosa needs to be safely removed by medical staff

The procedure

  1. Reception and review of the order: The nurse reviews the prescription or procedure order, confirms the patient information, and checks the allergy history.
  2. Preparing instruments and the patient: Preparing all sterile supplies, guiding the patient into position, and briefly explaining the steps involved.
  3. Performing the procedure: The nurse carries out the procedure following correct technique, monitoring the patient’s response throughout.
  4. Monitoring and post-procedure guidance: Observing the patient after the procedure (especially after injections and IV infusions), providing follow-up care instructions, and scheduling the next dressing change or follow-up visit.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an IV infusion at the clinic take? The infusion time depends on the type of fluid and the infusion rate ordered by the physician, usually 1–3 hours. Patients can rest comfortably during the infusion in the center’s procedure room.

Do I need an appointment for a dressing change? Patients with a scheduled dressing change should arrive at the appointed time. Without an appointment, you can register directly at the reception desk - nurses will arrange the order by priority.

Can I request a blood test without seeing a physician first? A referral from a physician - at Ky Hoa or another medical facility - is required before samples can be collected for testing. If you do not yet have an order, you will first be guided to the appropriate specialist examination.
