Ky Hoa Medical Center is a contracted primary care facility under Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance. Patients holding a health insurance (BHYT) card registered for primary care at Kỳ Hòa, or arriving with a valid referral, are entitled to full BHYT benefits during their visit.
Documents to prepare
To use your health insurance (BHYT) benefits, please bring:
- A valid BHYT card — check the expiry date before you come
- Your citizen identity card (CCCD) or another photo ID
- A referral letter (if your BHYT card is not registered for primary care at Kỳ Hòa)
- Your medical record book, or previous test results and imaging films, if available
Please note: children under six use their own BHYT card together with a birth certificate or a parent's CCCD.
The visit process at reception
- Go to the reception desk (counter 1): present your BHYT card and CCCD so staff can verify your details and print your visit slip.
- Wait for your number to be called: take a seat in the waiting area and watch the queue display so you enter the consultation room on time.
- Clinical examination: the doctor examines you and orders any diagnostic tests that are needed.
- Diagnostic testing: laboratory tests, ultrasound, or X-ray are carried out according to the doctor's order.
- Follow-up consultation and prescription: return to the doctor to review your results, receive advice, and collect your BHYT prescription.
Important notes
Some services and medicines fall outside the BHYT coverage list and are charged according to regulations. Reception staff will explain any such charges clearly before proceeding, so you can decide for yourself. If you have questions about your BHYT entitlements, please ask at the reception desk or call our hotline 028.3868.1097 during working hours.
